A. Travellers of all countries have the possibility to travel with the Star Alliance Round the World Fare.

A. The Airfare is valid on the flights of all Star Alliance member carriers, such as Aegean Airlines (A3), Air Canada (AC), bmi (BD), Air China (CA), Continental Airlines (CO), Shanghai Airlines (FM), Spanair (JK), Adria Airways (JP), Blue 1 (KF), Lufthansa (LH), LOT (LO), SWISS (LX), EGYPTAIR (MS), ANA (NH), Air New Zealand (NZ), Austrian Airlines (OS), Croatia Airlines (OU), Asiana Airlines (OZ), South African Aiways (SA), Scandinavian Airlines (SK/BU), Brussels Airlines (SN), Singapore Airlines (SQ), TAM Airlines (JJ), Thai Airways (TG), Turkish Airlines (TK), United Airlines (UA) and US Airways (US).

Certain flights, which are marketed under a member carrier’s flight number but operated by a different airline, are not offered for this product.

A. The airfare is valid for Round the World travel to/from countries in South West Pacific, Africa/Middle East, Asia, Europe, North America, South and Central America served by the participating Star Alliance member carrier.

A. The Round the World Fare allows a maximum of 16 flight coupons for the entire journey, and this includes any subsequent rerouting.

A coupon equals an itinerary segment. A segment is defined as a single flight number or a surface sector, representing a direct connection.

A. If your journey starts in Australia or New Zealand:

The last international flight of your itinerary must depart no earlier than 7 days after your first international flight departs, if the purchased cabin class is Economy.No minimum stay is required if the purchased cabin class is First or Business.

If your journey starts in Europe:
The last intercontinental flight of your itinerary must depart no earlier than 10 days after your first intercontinental flight departs.

If your travel origin is not Europe, Australia or New Zealand:
The last international flight of your itinerary must depart no earlier than 10 days after your first international flight departs.

All travel origins:
Travel from the last international stopover must commence no later than 12 months after departure from the journey’s origin.

Please note that some airlines only offer availability for 330 days from the day of booking.

A. You can depart and terminate in countries such as South West Pacific, Africa/Middle East, Asia, Europe, North America, South and Central America, South West Pacific served by the participating Star Alliance member carriers. Furthermore your routing has to start and end in the same country.

Your itinerary may reflect travel greater than Round the World provided it is not via the point of origin and still terminates in the country of origin.

Your itinerary must include only one transatlantic and only one transpacific crossing. Such intercontinental sector may be a surface sector provided the mileage for such a land segment is included in the total mileage calculation. In the entire journey not more than one crossing is permitted between Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia, Pacific.

A. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your departure for sectors up to and including the first international sector. Further segments of your journey may be booked at any time.

Further exceptions may apply.

A. The Round the World Fare is available in First, Business and Economy Class.

Whenever the selected cabin class is not available on a flight, a lower cabin class is offered. In such cases, the full price of the selected cabin class is still applicable.

A. With the Round the World Fare, the total cost of your journey is determined by the itinerary’s mileage, the journey’s originating country and the class of service, plus applicable fees, taxes and surcharges. There are four possible maximum permitted mileage levels: 26,000 miles (Special Economy only), 29,000 miles, 34,000 miles or 39,000 miles. The Special Economy Round the World Fare is not offered for travel originating in Japan.

Fares apply only if the Round the World ticket is purchased before your departure. Please note that fare, taxes and charges are only valid on the day a ticket is purchased and are subject to re-calculation in case of voluntary changes to the itinerary before commencement of the journey.

A. Applicable for Economy Class Fares:

Children (2-11years) are charged 75% of the available adult fare plus applicable fees, taxes and surcharges. A proof of age is required.

The first infant under 2 years of age, not occupying a seat, pays 10% of the applicable adult fare plus respective fees, taxes and surcharges. Only one infant not occupying a seat is allowed per adult passenger. Infants occupying a seat pay 75% of the adult fare plus applicable fees, taxes and surcharges. Proof of age is required at time of ticketing and check-in. If an infant turns 2 during the trip, passenger may not travel as an infant and instead must occupy a seat priced at child fare for entire journey.

Children and infants must be accompanied on all sectors in the same cabin by a Star Alliance Round the World Fare adult passenger paying the full Round the World Fare.

A. A stopover is a stop of 24 hours or more. The Round the World Fare requires in general at least 3 stopovers and permits a maximum of 15 stopovers. The Round the World Special Economy Fare requires at least 3 stopovers and permits a maximum of 5 stopovers.

No more than 3 stopovers are permitted in any one country worldwide, except in the USA where 5 stopovers are allowed.

The Round the World Fare allows only one stopover per city. The maximum number of stopovers within certain regions may be limited.

Further exceptions may apply which have been outlined in the Round the World Terms and Conditions.

A. A transfer is a stop between two flights of less than 24 hours.

Transfers are allowed in any one city, however not more than 3 in any one city. In the country where the trip starts not more than 2 domestic transfers and not more than 2 international transfers are permitted.

Exception:
When travel starts in USA/Canada/Thailand/Norway, not more than 4 domestic transfers and not more than 4 international transfers permitted in the country of origin. Unlimited free transfers are permitted at any other point.

Further exceptions may apply which have been outlined in the Round the World Terms and Conditions.

A. Yes, surface sectors are permitted. As they are not included in the calculated Round the World Fare, surface sectors are at the expense of the passenger. If such an intermediate surface sector in itinerary exceeds 24 hours, it is considered as one stopover.

The mileage for surface sectors must be included in the maximum permitted mileage calculation. Not more than 5 surface sectors are permitted. Surface sectors between cities and surface sectors between airports in multiple airport cities require a separate coupon.

A. For your Round the World Fare the piece concept applies for the entire journey. Piece concept means 2 pieces of luggage per person. Most Star Alliance member airlines allow 32 kg per piece in First and Business class and 23 kg per piece in Economy Class. Please refer to the respective operating carrier for details on the baggage allowance and excess baggage charges.

A. All flights operated by a Star Alliance carrier will accrue miles for your Star Alliance Frequent Flyer Programme after you have flown - even status points can be earned. Mileage accrual is subject to the terms and conditions of the Frequent Flyer programme you are a member with.

A. The Airfare applies for Circle Asia journeys to/from/via the following areas:

-South East Asia: China, Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, Malaysia,  Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand, Brunei, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia,  Myanmar, Laos
-North Asia: Japan, Republic of Korea
-South West Pacific: Australia, New Zealand

A. Your Circle Asia Fare permits a maximum of 16 flight coupons in the entire journey including any subsequent rerouting.

A. Your Circle Asia journey has to last at least 3 days between the first and last international departure and may last up to 6 months after departure on your first flight.

Exception: For travel originating in Australia and New Zealand no minimum stay is required for First and Business Class Fares.

A. Your travel must originate and terminate in the same country, which has to be one of the following: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Hong Kong SAR, Japan, Republic of Korea, Taiwan, China, Australia and New Zealand.You may not travel via the point of origin. Not more than three transfers are permitted at any one city.Certain exceptions may apply.

A. The Circle Asia Fare only applies, if it is purchased before your departure. Your reservations up to and including the first international sector and the purchase of the ticket have to be done no less than 7 days prior to your first departure. Subsequent sectors can be booked at any time.

A. Your journey must involve travel to all three areas and only one crossing is permitted between the following areas:
- South West Pacific – North Asia
- South West Pacific – South East Asia
- North Asia – South East Asia.

Additionally your travel must originate and terminate in the same country.

Depending on your routing and the chosen fare the maximum allowed mileage of the Circle Asia Fare is either 15,000 miles or 18,000 miles.

A. The Airfare is available in First Class, Business and Economy Class.

A. Child discount is not applicable on First and Business Class Fares.

Economy Class Fare discount:

Children (2-11years) are charged 75% of the adult fare plus applicable fees, taxes and surcharges. A proof of age is required. The first infant under 2 years of age, not occupying a seat, pays 10% of the applicable adult fare plus respective fees, taxes and surcharges. Only one infant not occupying a seat is allowed per adult passenger. Proof of age is required at time of ticketing. Infants occupying a seat are charged the applicable child fare plus applicable fees, taxes and surcharges. If an infant turns 2 during the trip, passenger may not travel as an infant and instead must occupy a seat priced at child fare for entire journey.

Children and infants must be accompanied on all sectors in the same cabin by a Star Alliance Circle Asia Fare adult passenger paying the full Circle Asia Fare.

A. A stopover is a stay of over 24 hours. The Circle Asia Fare requires a minimum of two stopovers and permits a maximum of 15 stopovers. Within Japan, not more than three stopovers are allowed.

The Circle Asia Fare allows only one stopover per city. Further exceptions may apply.

A. A transfer is a stop of less than 24 hours. The Circle Asia Fare allows unlimited transfers, however not more than three transfers at any one city.

In your country of origin not more than one international departure as well as not more than one international arrival is permitted. For travel originating in Japan/New Zealand/China not more than two domestic transfers are permitted in Japan/New Zealand/China between domestic flights. Further exceptions may apply.

A. Yes, surface sectors are permitted. As they are not included in the calculated Circle Asia Fare, surface sectors are at the expense of the passenger. If such an intermediate surface sector in itinerary exceeds 24 hours, it is considered as one stopover.

The mileage for surface sectors must be included in the maximum permitted mileage calculation.

Surface sectors between cities and surface sectors between airports in multiple airport cities require a separate flight coupon.

A. For your Circle Asia journey the weight concept applies. The free baggage weight allowance for First-Class passengers is 40 kg per person, for Business-Class passengers 30 kg per person and for passengers travelling in Economy Class it is 20 kg per person.

A. Yes. All flights taken with this Airfare will accrue miles to your nominated Star Alliance Frequent Flyer Programme, depending on the rules of your chosen Frequent Flyer Programme.

A. You should contact one of the Star Alliance member airline reservation centres directly, your local travel agent or use the online Circle Asia Calculator to create a valid itinerary of your desired trip. - Republic of Korea and China/Hong Kong/Macao

Additionally your travel must originate and terminate in the same country.

A. Your Circle North Asia Fare permits a maximum of 16 flight coupons in the entire journey including any subsequent rerouting

A. Your Circle North Asia journey has to last at least 3 days between the first and last international departure and may last up to 2 months after departure on your first flight.

A. Your travel must originate and terminate in the same country, which has to be Japan, Republic of Korea or China. You may not travel via the point of origin. Not more than three transfers are permitted at any one city. Certain exceptions may apply.

A. The Circle North Asia Fare only applies, if it is purchased before your departure. Your reservations up to and including the first international sector and the purchase of the ticket have to be done no less than 7 days prior to your first departure. Subsequent sectors can be left open.

A. Your journey must involve travel to all three countries (Japan, Republic of Korea and China) and only one crossing is permitted between:

- China/Hong Kong/Macao and Japan
- Japan and Republic of Korea
- Republic of Korea and China/Hong Kong/Macao

Depending on your routing and the chosen fare the maximum allowed mileage of the Circle North Asia Fare is either 4,800 miles or 6,600 miles.

Exception: For travel originating in Australia and New Zealand there is no minimum stay required for First and Business Class Fares.

The first crossing between the three areas may not be a surface sector and may not be left open.
